I graduated from Kutztown University with a BFA in Communication Design and a dual minor in Professional Writing and Art History. I look to the past for inspiration, collect art books, and am passionate about all things print.
Lacquer is an interior design magazine that highlights the cutting-edge work of the industry. The Modern Art Collector issue takes the reader into the homes of artists and designers, while giving the reader insight on building their own collection of furniture and art. The magazine uses bold drop caps in each feature article, mirroring the subject’s aesthetic. The title Lacquer is inspired by the use of lacquer as the finishing touch to a furniture piece. The title highlights the glamour of simple shapes and the timelessness of clean lines. This project is comprised of a department page layout and two feature articles.
